Governor Udom Emmanuel has described Akwa Ibom State as great and prosperous, calling on all, irrespective of political leanings, to rally round for its development. This appeal was contained in his Christmas message to the people of the state. The governor reminded the people that with elections and litigations over, it was now time for governance, urging collaboration for the development of the oil-rich state. In the spirit of the season, he appealed to the people to desist from actions that could de-market the state. Emmanuel named the eight core areas to include industrialisation; aviation development; rural and riverine area development; small and medium scale enterprises; infrastructure; security; human capacity development and agriculture.
